Converted Nurgle Dread

Hi! This piece was really great fun for me to build and paint. A lot of cool ideas and new techniques that I learned on a very inspiring evening of painting with Jarhead and Muhani (WHHolic). I really went crazy with making the model "dirty". It may be a bit too much though. Painting time was about 8 hours.

  1. That is one nice dreadnought. I like the big gear on its base.

  2. I think it's great.
it is not too dirted-up at all.
    It is nurgle, after all.

  3. Great looking dread! I especially like the missile launcher conversion and your use of colors.

  4. Nice job on the rust. I am looking at the gear and it just looks dry and powdery, like if you touched it some of the rust would kind of rub off on your hand. Excellent work.

  5. Thx for your nice comments! :)
The missile launcher from the land speeder
typhoon sprue fits perfectly in the spot for the
left arm of the chaos cybot by the way. ;)

The rust was done with weathering powders mixed
with paint. I might shade the gear a bit more though. It drags too much attention to the base
    now imo.
