Salamanders

Hey there,

yesterday i´ve decided to make a new army project. First i browsed all my bits and boxes and after that i came to a decision, space marines.

And why Salamanders???

That´s a good question and i´ve got a simple answer: i like green colour...... and Vulkan He´stan^^

I started to decolour some of my mini´s and then i painted my first marine for testing the colourscheme. Take a look, i like it. Hope you too.

Necrons

I got a new Necron commission to do, tried to keep them simple with gold and a slight OSL-effect on the eyes. Here's what I got finished so far (still a lot to come):

Elf Archer

I took some photos of Legolas. I started working on the skin, but I'll have too get more contrast into it and smooth everything out. The white dots from the 2-component basecoat are still visible too.

The colors so far were:

Basecoat - Bleached Bone
Highlight - Spacewolf Grey/Ivory(VMC)
Shadow1 - Dwarf Flesh
Shadow2 - Dwarf Flesh/Scorched Brown

Monday Night Painting

Hey there folks,
sorry for the one-day-delay, couldn't find time yesterday for posting.

So... what happend this monday night? Let's have a look:

I was working on a Minotaur, one of the new Beastmen releases from GW. Although it's meant for the gaming table, I'm trying to give my best at this one. We're working on a beastmen-project at the moment (4 people are collecting one army ^^) and we need something that makes "BÄM!", you know. ;)

Darkezekiel was working on his Belphegor from Andrea Miniatures. He's really taking time on this one. ^^ (sorry, pics ain't good)

That's it for today, stay tuned!

More Crimson Fist

I finished another brave brother of the Crimson Fist Chapter. It was about time the command squad got some melta support! ;)

Crimson Fist - Thunderfire Cannon and Standard Bearer

Got two new pieces of the Crimson Fist puzzle finished today. Take a look:

The standard bearer for the command unit. I took an old model, gave it a terminator energyclaw and made a standard out of paper soaked in PVA glue.

Thunderfirecannon with Techmarine. The Marine was a lot of work, so much detail makes my head ake... Oh, and I had to change his right arm, since I lost the original one. *shame*

Monday Night Painting

Almost every monday night Darkezekiel, Muhani (from Massivevoodoo) and me meet for our weekly night of painting. I'd like to write a little review every week from now on about new painting and modelling projects, that we've got on the table.

Let's start with what happened yesterday...

I'm currently working on a space wolves terminator unit, standing on a showbase. This is still in a very early state though.

Since Spacewolves need beards and long hair (I totally disagree with GWs new Spacewolf-image) I started modelling some on the units leader:

Meanwhile I assembled 2 other minis:

Legolas...

...and the Ice Cream Guy (just couldn't take this one seriously^^)

Darkezekiel did some turbopainting again (I still can't believe how fast this guy is) and tried three, let's say "interesting", color schemes for a friends tyranid army, using effect-colors. (YES, our friend likes flashing colors ^^)

Muhani, as always, took his time and modelled a bird for his sinking-ship-project. This took the whole evening, but therefor it was done properly.

That's it for today,
stay tuned!
